The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces that aims to develop discipline, leadership, confidence, and patriotism among students. It provides basic military training to school and college students and encourages them to become responsible citizens of the nation. NCC cadets take part in parades, drills, camps, social service activities, and Army Attachment Programs. These activities help students improve their physical fitness, teamwork, communication skills, and leadership qualities. NCC also teaches the importance of unity, discipline, and national service. The motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline.” Through NCC, students get opportunities to experience military life and learn about the armed forces. It also helps cadets in building successful careers, as many NCC cadets are selected in Defence Services, Police, and other government sectors. Today, NCC is one of the largest youth organizations in India and plays an important role in shaping disciplined and confident young citizens. “Once a Cadet, Always a Cadet.”
NCC was started in Jagatpur P.G. College in 2022 under 2 UP EME COY NCC. It was introduced through the efforts of Colonel G. S. Tulsi, former Principal Prof. Anil Pratap Singh, Director Prof. Nilay Kumar, CTO Dr. Suresh Kumar Singh (now Lieutenant), and local education authorities. The main aim of NCC in the college is to develop discipline, leadership, confidence, physical fitness, and patriotism among students. Cadets receive military training and take part in camps, parades, drills, and Army Attachment Programs. NCC has helped many students improve their personality and career opportunities. Many cadets from the college have been selected in government sectors such as Defence Services, Police, and other government departments. Today, NCC is an important part of Jagatpur P.G. College and continues to guide students towards discipline, service, and successful careers.
